Nannying

Before opening Le Cocon Family Day Care, I spent years nannying for many beautiful families around the world. I really enjoy this child care approach as it allows total flexibility for parents and enables children to explore the area and engage with the local community.

Family Coaching

eeing positive change in families after only a few hours of coaching has been such a fantastic experience for me. I have been enjoying it so much and receiving such wonderful feedback that I’m now looking to dedicate more time to my family coaching service in the new year. Notably, from February I will be providing monthly workshops for parents on a range of topics, from issues around eating and sleeping to different approaches to education.
If there is a topic that you would like to be covered at an upcoming workshop or to find out more, please click the button below.

Freelance Writing

Over the years, I have been asked to write for child care magazines and author my own book on my approach to child care. I always thought "No thank you, my English is way too limited for that." But as usual, my amazing husband is showing his full support and together we are excited to announce that the first of a series of articles we have written together was published in E.Y.E. Magazine.

Cooking Workshops

For the past six years, Jimi has lovingly prepared all the meals served to the children at Le Cocon Family Day Care. His seasonal “Round the World” menus were inspired by his extensive travels and were intended to introduce the children to a range of flavours and textures to help develop young palettes. Jimi’s cooking is based on healthy vegetarian wholefoods and is intentionally kept simple in order to be made in large batches and frozen/thawed for future meals. It is therefore ideal for busy parents with hungry children!
We enjoyed so much success in feeding the beautiful children of Le Cocon Family Day Care that many parents have requested that Jimi share his kitchen secrets so that they may be replicated at home. Well now is your chance, as Jimi prepares to launch a series of cooking workshops in February next year. Classes will be held in our home kitchen, with class sizes kept small for a truly hands-on experience. Each session will end with several courses to sample and take home to enjoy with the rest of the family.
