Fulfilment of basic needs & self-regulationChildren are not always capable of identifying and fulfilling their basic needs (e.g. hunger, thirst, tiredness). We believe it is our primary responsibility to attend to these basic needs and to equip children with the tools to self-regulate. For example, we ensure that all children receive a period of inactivity per day. If they fall asleep during this time, they will not be woken and under no circumstances will children be forced to remain awake when showing signs of tiredness. We also make sure that children obtain a high level of nutrition based on a nutritionist-endorsed menu.
